What is a Cleric?

Introduction to the Cleric Job Class   The Cleric is one of the 2nd job classes to come from the Muse Job Class. They are good at healing, supporting their allies through buffs or summons, and can bring fallen defenders back on their feet. Although they do focus on helping their allies fight, that does not mean clerics are defenseless, as a matter of fact, high level clerics are among the most durable combatants in the game so as you become a stronger cleric do not be afraid to defend yourself.   Clerics have more powerful versions of a Muse’s healing techniques such as such as Heavenly Grace, which is a more powerful single target heal. They also have buffs which increase stats that a regular muse cannot, such as buffs to Attack Speed, Critical Hit Rate, Dodge Rate and a more powerful buff to Attack Power. In addition to attack power, the Cleric Discipline can increase damage dealt, which will stack with the previously mentioned buff which will allow their allies to considerably hurt their opponents.   Clerics also get several summons which they can bring forth to aid in battle, they can call upon an bulky Elemental to help take hits from the enemy, a Firegon to aid in attacking, and two different types of “Flames,” Energy Flame and Salamander Flame, which help keep the front line supported.   Clerics also have several passives which improve Block Rate, Defense and Magic Resistance, so that they can endure the attacks of enemies that wish to focus them down. Dragon Skin and Mystic Armor passively increase your defenses, for...

Ice techniques, such as Glaciating Chill and Permafrost Chill, can slow and cripple an opponent. Lightning techniques, such as Arumic Shock and Lemming’s Bolt stun their targets. Wind techniques, such as Hurricane and Sikuku Gale, tend to affect multiple targets in an area.   Mages can choose to develop their skill trees based on which effects they which to inflict on their opponents during battle. They concentrate on intelligence to maximize their damage, and eventually into concentration to make sure their energy attacks connect. Strength to increase their survivability in combat.   High level Mages tend to either dip into more than one element to apply a variety of effects on their opponents, or invest heavily into one element to become specialized fighters. As you develop the skill tree, you can choose which one of these styles sounds best for...

They are frontline fighters which can use a variety of weapons in their own, also varied, combat styles. Their primary stat is Strength, with Concentration, Dexterity or Sense being secondary. What is a Knight?

Introduction to the Knight Class   The Knight Job Class is the defense oriented class that comes from the Soldier Job Class. They are known for using one-handed weapons, crossbows and shields. Although a Knight focuses primarily on defense and controlling the enemy’s attention, there are different ways in which you can develop your skill tree. We will go over the tools Knights have to control aggro, bolster their defenses, and go on the offensive.   How does a Knight control aggro? They have two main tools to do so, the Taunt skill from the Soldier skill tree, and the Sacrifice skill, which is a unique skill to Soldiers (Knights and Crusaders). Taunt will make a single enemy start attacking you, while Sacrifice will make all enemies within its range start attacking you.   What tools does a Knight Discipline have to improve their defenses? Aside from the additional defense a shield brings, Knights have multiple passives which further increase their block rate, their defense and their shield’s defense boost. They also have access to several buffs which can increase Defense, Block Rate, HP and even to reflect damage back at your enemies. Staminal Assist, Safe Guard, Protection and Shield Reflect are buffs you want to look into to achieve these types of boosts to your defenses.   A Knight does have offensive options, they have single target melee attacks such as Lightning Crasher, energy based ranged attacks such as Sword Force, and even a powerful area attack in Swords of Zant. Basic Mage Guide

Basic Mage Guide

Welcome to an introductory guide into the Muse class and its offense-specialized advanced job class, Mage. We will cover topics that new wielders of energy should familiarize themselves with and a basic overview of how their class works. Let us start with the basics, your stats: STAT OVERVIEW Here we see an example of how a Mage’s stat spread should be prioritized. Your principal stat is INT (Intelligence) and your secondary stat is STR (Strength). Below we shall go a bit more in-depth into what every stat gives you, and why you may or may not wish to invest in them. Strength: Strength increases your Attack, Defense, HP and Weight Capacity. It’s a really good overall stat as it helps you, carry more items and be a bit sturdier in battle. Dexterity: Dexterity is centered on dual-wielded weapons, which mages do not use, therefore you typically avoid this stat. Intelligence: Intelligence is your principal stat as a mage, since it directly empowers the damage you do while wielding a staff. It also increases your MP which helps you keep unleashing your spells for extended periods of time. Concentration: The only reasons mages would consider putting points into concentration is due to the fact it increases accuracy. In situations where you find yourself silenced, out of MP, or against hordes of weaker enemies that can take a while to chew through using spells, auto attacks have value. While it has its uses, putting points into concentration is not recommended until far into your development as a mage. Charm: The only aid Charm brings that a Mage would be interested in...
