Account Bound Status

Account Bound There may come a time where one or more of your characters find their items to be account bound, meaning they cannot trade, drop, or sell via player shop any items at all. So what is this and when does it happen? We’ll go into detail below. NOTE: There are some items that, by default, cannot be traded or dropped. There are also some items which cannot be placed into the storage. Those are original settings of those items and are not related to the character being account bound. Account bound characters are those who cannot drop, trade or sell via shop ANY item they possess; and we specifically mean the player shops, not the NPC vendors found throughout the game. The Account Bound status particularly affects players who are in control of multiple accounts, specifically, those who control more than two accounts. Account Bound means that items of that account cannot be dropped, traded to other players or sold to other players (via a player shop). Which items? Equipment, Gear, Materials, PAT, Zulie and consumables are only to be usable by that account. Thus, all items in the account are tied to the account. Another limit that Account Bound gives to a character’s account is the inability to create parties or even join a party. How would it determine what accounts will be affected by this? Accounts with a main character (those with the highest reputation if the account has multiple characters) will not fall under the account bound status. Characters in a second account will also not have anything to worry about. Having characters in...

Inactive Characters

Character Inactivity Hello there, Defender! This article is to inform you about the rules and regulations of character activity in Defenders of the Cross. There may come a time where you do not log into the game for an extended period of time. This can be due to a variety of factors, such as a vacation, a busy time period, or simply to take a break! The question may come up, what will happen to my character? The answer, in the majority of the cases, is nothing will happen to your characters. Especially if your character has running story lines and accumulated Reputation, your character will stay on your account, unchanged. Given an extended period of inactivity, however, your character’s reputation will slowly go down (this does not removes your character’s story line, it just brings down your position in the reputation list). In the case of characters who have less than 10 reputation (such as some alternate characters) they will only see something happen to them if they are not used for any story line purpose for an extended period of time. Should they go several months without involving themselves in any story line event or interacting with a prompt (such as a resource drive), then they might be relegated to a side character, deleted or used for any specified circumstance. 1. What a side character means is they have their name removed and replaced with “D.####” where #### is their ID number. These characters can still be used, but cannot carry independent story lines. 2. Deleted, but why? When the server undergoes a major change such as...

Premium Services – The Premmy Gauntlet

This is an ascension based combat location where players are thrown into the fray to fight hordes of enemies as they make their way to the very end, where the last 4 rooms hold the most valuable experience rates, and the most space for competition among players. Those who take the very top, can claim to lay waste to the 6 Bosses that await for them there. NOTE: To defeat all 6 Bosses the players will suffer the grueling experience of getting to the top and STAYING at the top. The bosses and their might are not even alone! As they come accompanied by their personal sentries of protection. An important reminder as well is that currently, RESPAWNS ARE BUGGED in the Premmy Gauntlet. If you fall in these maps there is no way to respawn as no window pops up to do so. You will have to relog if you get taken down in the gauntlet and don’t have anyone to revive you nearby. Lastly: The MOB will pick up on players grueling through the gauntlet, and see it as self training. Players in the gauntlet aren’t able to start interactions, but they are indeed seen as if they were going through training by the storyline. Gamp, serves as the NPC that will send word to the Brigade or other individuals of your chosen alliance, informing them of your progress and prowess in battle. (Prowess in battle just means level). The most important thing to remember is that the Premmy Gauntlet is NOT a “STORYLINE” situation. The most you can say as a Role Player is that you...

Premium Services: The Premium Express

One of the services provided by having a Premium Subscription is the access to “Go” commands. In-character, this services is referred to as the Premium Express. These commands are meant to provide a player with a quick and convenient way of getting around the major cities and ports of the game. However it is not a “Get Out of Jail Free” card, there are some rules to the use of this command.   How to use the Go command: This service is an easy one to use, simply input “/go” and a number, to be transported instantly to that location! For example, “/go 2”. To see the list of possible destinations, you can input the “/go” command without a number, and you will be shown the list of numbers you can attempt to use.   Restrictions to the Go command: There are a couple of restrictions to using this command; the first one is your character cannot be in combat, this means taking damage or having recently finished taking damage, you will notice you are still in combat if your character is still in their combat stance or the hp bar is fluctuating. As soon as you HP Bar is back to full, you can use the “/go” command. The other restriction to the go command is, while you are provided with a full list of locations the go command can use, your character may not have access to some of the locations listed. Two examples are: Union Houses and Planets not in control of your organization. While your character can use a Go command to conveniently be transported...
