Unions

Unions

Unions are the economic powers of the Ruling Organization. They are a group of merchants, researchers, fighters and diplomats who work hard to maintain the economy of the citizens in the lands. As far as players go, only Clans can develop themselves to become Unions. Clan Masters are the only ones that can compete to become Union Master. Each Union in Defenders of the Cross manages a different aspect of the economy. Example: Based on the remarkable invention of the Mana Engine, the Ferrell Guild developed a form of transportation known as the Cart. The creation of the Mana Engine signaled a period of rapid scientific progress on the planet of Junon. The Ferrell Guild leaders, who have been front runners of interplanetary travel, are led by the Angel Guard Ferrell, and manage businesses and supplies of the Akram Kingdom. Meanwhile the Arumic Faction works to research all sorts of aspects in the Akram Kingdom. They also focus on selling and working with any type of supplies that use Energy or Mana. Its founder was the Angel Guard, Arumic. It is believed their sole purpose for business in the lands is to research the creatures and natives. The Arumic Faction specializes in producing and selling magical products such as potions and magic books. As their unique magical products grew more popular, they began to compete with the Ferrell Guild and other merchant guilds. Last example is the Brigade of the Righteous Crusaders. Originally, the Righteous Crusaders were a small squad. However, they quickly became known for their brave exploits. In battle, they earned the respect and honor of the...
Party System

Party System

In Defenders of the Cross it is best to train with a Party. A Party is a group of Defenders that joined up to get stronger or complete a task. Some of these parties are called Squads because they are sent on special tasks for an Organization. Anyone can create a party by inviting another defender. You can party with up to 10 other players and fight as a team. As your party fights as a team, the Party Level will increase. To invite another player, select their character then use the ‘Party’ skill found in your Skill window. You must also be within a 75 level difference from the other player you wish to invite. Party Options EXP Division in a party divides the Experience gained up in equal shares. There are even ways in which a party can further increase the experience they receive. The more players of the party that have dealt damage to the creature at the time it has been defeated, the more exp it will give to the entire party. Situations like bringing a party to take down a powerful boss can give huge experience rewards as a result!  Item Earning has two options. The first is Equal Loot Distribution, this happens when a creature a party member was fighting drops an item, it quickly belongs to them and no one else can take it. The second option is Acquisition Order. In this option any party member can pick up an item drop, and it is given to a person in the party, following an order. Party Benefits Once a party is formed,...
M.O.B. System

M.O.B. System

The world of Defenders of the Cross is a unique world that runs on a story line. Due to this, the world is in constant change, and has many conflicts that occur during its life. The Defenders of the Cross server has a system that runs all of these changes. The Main Operating Bot, commonly referred to as “The M.O.B.”. The Mob is in charge of giving the creatures, the static NPC’s and even the wildlife that seems to serve no purpose, a life. In the world of DOTC, monsters and NPCs each have defined backgrounds and stories. Most of these serve to give players a purpose or to put defenders in the world of DOTC on constant guard.. In many scenarios the MOB doesn’t even speak with the defenders, and just attacks them. These ambushes occur more often that one would think it so. The in game representation of the MOB’s presence is the immediately noticeable appearance of a single extra defender dot on the mini map. This allows defenders to know that the Mob is currently presently giving an order to that precise point. The mob works by doing 1 of two things. Taking control of creatures already on the map, or spawning a set of creatures outside of the map, and bringing them in. These creatures once the mob has taken control of them, are guaranteed a 100% chance to drop an item of recovery, or an item to further enhance your skills by refining with it later on. Every creature has its background and its particular traits. Many of them also have counterpart factions to...
