In the world of Defenders of the Cross there are various classes and disciplines to play as. Here is the very basic information of each. We’ll start with the basic four.

Soldier – Uses Axe, Two-Handed Sword, Spear, Blunt Weapon, Sword and Shield. It later divides into two Disciplines, Knight and Champion.

Muse – Uses Staff, Wand and Mystic Tool. It later divides into two Disciplines, Mage and Cleric.

Hawker – Uses Katars, Bow, Dual Weapons and Crossbow. It later divides into two Disciplines, Scout and Raider.

Dealer – Uses Guns and Launchers. It later divides into two Disciplines, Bourgeois and Artisan.

Let’s learn about the second job classes or as sometimes called the first disciplines.

Knight – Uses Crossbow, Blunt Weapon, Sword and Shield.
Champion – Uses Spear, Axe and Heavy Sword.

Mage – Uses Staff.
Cleric – Uses Wand, Mystic Tool and Shield.

Scout – Uses Bow, Crossbow and Shield.
Raider – Uses Katars, Technique, and Dual Wield Weapons.

Bourgeois – Uses Cannon and Gun.
Artisan – Uses Gun and Crafting Tool.

Then there are the more advanced disciplines which focus on just one weapon.

Sabre – Knight that uses Sword, Bracelet, Armband, Mystic Tool and Off-hand item.
Paladin – Knight that uses Crossbow and Shield.
Crusader – Knight that focuses on Blunt Weapon and Shield or Sword and Shield.

Gallant – Champion that focuses on Spears.
Vanguard – Champion that focuses on Cannon and Launchers to support his party.
Enforcer – Champion who focuses on either Axe or Heavy Swords.

Warlock – Mage who focuses on spear.
Acolyte – Mage who focuses on Staff to cast Ice Skills.
Pyroclast – Mage who focuses on Staff to cast Fire Skills.

Conjurer – Cleric who focuses on Wands to fight with summons.
Priest – Cleric who focuses on Wands to help aid the clan.
Sabio – Cleric who focuses on Blunt Weapons and Shield.

Ranger – Scout who focuses on the Bow.
Hunter – Scout who focuses on the Crossbow and Shield.
Tamer – Scout who focuses on either Bow or Crossbow to work with pets.

Brawler – Raider focused on fighting with Techniques.
Interceptor – Raiders focused on Katars.
Marauder – Raiders focused on Dual Wield Weapons.

Triggerman – Uses Gun to keep large distances from targets with marksman skills.
Grenadier – Uses Launchers.
Musketeer – Uses Gun, Sword and Shield.

Sniper – Uses Gun to keep large distances from targets with marksman skills.
Tycoon – Uses gun and crafting tool to focus on crafting items.
Conscript – Uses gun.

Initiate – A defender who has not gotten a job class.

Militia – A defender who has not gotten a conventional job class, but has acquired skills for combat.

First Job Class – Soldier, Muse, Hawker and Dealer.

Second Job Class – Knight, Champion, Mage, Cleric, Raider, Scout, Bourgeois and Artisan.

Disciplines – Knight, Champion, Sabre, Paladin, Crusader, Enforcer, Gallant, Vanguard, Mage, Cleric, Acolyte, Warlock, Pyroclast, Conjurer, Priest, Sabio, Combat Cleric, Raider, Scout, Ranger, Hunter, Tamer, Interceptor, Brawler, Marauder, Artisan, Bourgeois, Tycoon, Conscript, Sniper, Triggerman, Grenadier and Musketeer.

Employer – Dealer that focuses on hiring mercenaries for combat. Uses gun and launcher.

Miner – An Initiate with the purpose of only mining crystalline. Uses one-handed weapon.

Soldier Second Job Class – Knight and Champion Disciplines.

Muse Second Job Class – Mage and Cleric Disciplines.

Hawker Second Job Class – Raider and Scout Disciplines.

Dealer Second Job Class – Artisan and Bourgeois Disciplines.

Soldier Discipline – Knight, Champion, Sabre, Paladin, Crusader, Enforcer, Gallant and Vanguard Disciplines.

Muse Discipline – Mage, Cleric, Acolyte, Warlock, Pyroclast, Conjurer, Priest and Sabio Disciplines.

Hawker Discipline – Raider, Scout, Ranger, Hunter, Tamer, Interceptor, Brawler and Marauder Discipline.

Dealer Discipline – Artisan, Bourgeois, Tycoon, Conscript, Sniper, Triggerman, Grenadier and Musketeer Discipline.

Defense Class – Knight, Cleric, Paladin, Crusader, Sabio, Hunter, Tamer and Musketeer.

Combat Class – Champion, Raider, Enforcer, Gallant, Sabre, Marauder, Interceptor, Brawler and Warlock.

Assault Class – Scout, Bourgeois, Mage, Ranger, Hunter, Vanguard, Sniper, Triggerman, Conscript, Acolyte, Pyroclast, Musketeer and Tamer.

Support Class – Cleric, Artisan, Priest, Conjurer, Tycoon, Vanguard and Paladin.

Patrol Class – Scout, Raider, Interceptor, Sniper, Marauder, Brawler and Ranger.
