AFTER THE DESTRUCTION OF THE LIBRARY DEFENDERS HAVE BEEN RUSHING TO RECOVER TEXTS FROM THE PAST. SOME HAVE EVEN SPENT TIME TO WRITE NEW ENTRIES INTO THE LIBRARY.

BELOW ARE TEXTS ADDED DURING THE LAST FEW DAYS. THESE DEFENDER TEXTS ARE ALL WRITTEN FROM ONE PERSON’S POINT OF VIEW AND BELIEF….

The Devil Pest and Consumable Plague

The Consumable Plague was originally brought to light in planet Eldeon, as it affected the Sikuku Population, and began to cause mutations across the lands. The origin of the disease was found to be an object that was unrecognized at first. Discovered to be a rare fruit referred by Defenders as “Mysterious”. A form of Cacti plant, with the ability to drain many types of liquids.

The fruit was vitalizing, but ultimately deadly. The Defenders; Scylar and Renegade were held responsible for the spread as it was uncovered they had housed an entire storage unit full of these fruits, even sold them on across the lands.

The disease corrupts and causes mutations in humans, and the very same begins to apply in many other forms of creatures and natives, but in creatures and natives the disease is known as the Devil Pest. It was confusing at first to have two diseases that are basically the same, only named differently because of the group they affect; The Devil Pest affecting creatures and natives, the Consumable Plague affecting only humans.

For example, Bees and Pantharis grow larger. Even the panthari’s mane change in color. Arachnids also begin to secret the venom they carry inside from all their sweat glands, and so on. Even Gargoyles are believed to have been humans infected with the Devil Pest, even though it isn’t confirmed. A person named Redford did a good amount of work on that specific research before he disappeared.

Eventually, a vaccine was created to fight off the disease. Sadly, not everyone has been lucky. Among Pomics, the disease is unnoticeable during the early stages, and it eventually morphs into an advanced form. There is belief, due to inadequacy of information and lack of splicing, that the pomics have already created an immunity to the vaccine, and thus making them the only one’s who’ve not been able to fight off the Devil Pest.

What we call now as “ Herbal Medicine ”, and all of its variants are made from the vaccine. However; the origins of the vaccine lay in the hands of the Order, as the vaccine is not to be tampered with by anyone.
