Defender Text: Defender’s Planet News – Moon Over Thundra
AFTER THE DESTRUCTION OF THE LIBRARY DEFENDERS HAVE BEEN RUSHING TO RECOVER TEXTS FROM THE PAST. SOME HAVE EVEN SPENT TIME TO WRITE NEW ENTRIES INTO THE LIBRARY.
BELOW ARE TEXTS ADDED DURING THE LAST FEW DAYS. THESE DEFENDER TEXTS ARE ALL WRITTEN FROM ONE PERSON’S POINT OF VIEW AND BELIEF…
Greetings, My name is Igni, I’m a Defender and a Journalist, Today we’ll be talking about a Legend. Some of you might heard about it.
I was in Planet Lunar, walking in the Forgotten Temple…after long hours of walking and exploring. I sat down on some stairs to take a break…that’s were I found a Moon Child.
We talked…casually and then The Moon Child by the name of Ordka shared a legend. That their kind has been telling. and it goes like:
“The Gryphons ruled the skies.
The Dragons ruled the Sea.
The Behemoths ruled the land.
The Astarots, viewed beneath them, ruled what they called the Underworld.
wich really meant rulers of nothing.
Astarots saw it as an insult.
They are Rulers and the others did not share the territories…
the Astarots went to the Rulers to request equal shares.
Gryphons, accepted such a request.
they left the Planet, and allowed the Astarots to be Rulers of the Skies.
Behemoths did not like this one bit…
Dragons, just ignored the issue.
When Rulers with equivalent forces confront one another, it is said their battle will inevitably reach a stalemate. This confrontation is reffered to as a “Thousand Day War”, since the Rulers will… Both die and fight forever without a winner.
The legend said this was also called a “Thundra War”
It becomes a never ending cycle of destruction.
The entire planet walls to carnage.
They destroy everything in their war.
But after a Thousand Days, something ended the conflict.
Each race says something different in their myths.
To us, a being came and stopped the Behemoths and Astarots from fighting.
This being ended their conflict.
Behemoths, Dragons and Astarots made a pact back then…
The temples built by this can be found on the icelands.
The Column symbol of the Behemoths power.
The Seven Circles of the lands ruled by Dragons.
The Stairs and Crest of the Moon Children.
So became the temples of the Sea of Dawn.
The temples are similar to ones in Mount Eruca.
But instead of separate like that mountain. In the Icelands they are together.
That is how the legends goes.
That’s when my curiosity sparked and I asked about the being.
Ordka told me that each Native says something different.
The Penguins, state that a Gryphon came by and put all species on the Planet to nap.
Once they slept, they stopped being angry… able to converse with each other.
The Yetis say that a being with thunder and lightning formed the Sea of Dawn’s storm.
That the storm is what caused the Behemoths and Astarots to work together to survive it.
They say it was a Raiden Wyrm.
The Moon Beasts state that what stopped the war was another Ruler.
One that is barely known in the lands.
They call it a Manticore.
It came to try to establish itself aas the Ruler of the Skies.
Causing both Astarots and Behemoths to be angered.
So the Astarots and Behemoths banded together to push them out.
Now the Moon Children…believes it was someone else entirely.
They call this someone the Saviour of all Moon Children.
“The Ice Empress”
She came down and stopped the fight.
Her immense power quenched all their thirst for blood.
She accepted the Astarots and placed them as rightfully Rulers of the Skies.
Behemoths unable to oppose the Ice Empress, agreed to it.
The Ice Empress, according to the legend is half Native, half Human.
with inmense power, who is strong enough to do anything.
Feared by Dragons, Behemoths, Gryphons and Manticores.
According to the Moon Children’s history, The Ice Empress ruled the Moon Children before humanity stepped foot in their lands. It’s rumored that the Ice Empress still rules over the Sea of Dawn.
I hope you like this Article, since it’s a little different.
